Our written responses to major external consultations are available on this page.

In the interests of ensuring maximum transparency, we make every effort to secure consent to publish all responses in full, subject only to necessary redactions in the interests of data protection. The SSSC has to comply with the requirements of the Data Protection Act.

The Low Pay Commission published a call for evidence as part of their annual review.  The SSSC’s response is attached.

The Scottish Government held a consultation on the current and anticipated future use of ELC data.  The SSSC’s response is attached.

The Scottish Government held a consultation on draft secondary legislation to revise the procedures for complaints about social work.  The SSSC’s response is attached.

The Scottish Government published a consultation paper for further engagement on proposals for the creation of an Offence of Wilful Neglect or ill-treatment in connection with services for children under the age of 18.  The SSSC’s response is attached.

The Scottish Parliament’s Health and Sport Committee has taken evidence on the Public Services Reform (Social Work Complaints Procedure) (Scotland) Order 2015. The SSSC’s response is attached.
