- Any qualification in the practitioner in a day care of children service category
One of the following practice qualifications:
- National Certificate in Early Education and Childcare at SCQF Level 6
- SVQ Social Services (Children and Young People) at SCQF Level 6
Qualifications also accepted
- BA (Hons) Social Work (or equivalent)
- HNC Additional Support Needs (Supporting the Individual)
- PDA Education Support Assistance at SCQF Level 6
- PDA Education Support Assistance at SCQF Level 6 (GV17 46)
- PDA Education Support Assistance at SCQF Level 6 (G9G4 46)
- SVQ Playwork at SCQF Level 6
Qualifications meeting requirements of other regulatory bodies:
- A qualification meeting the registration requirements for the following professional groups regulated by the Health and Care Professions Council:
- Occupational Therapists
- Art, Music and Drama Therapists
- Physiotherapists
- Speech and Language Therapists
- Practitioner Psychologists
- A qualification meeting the registration requirements of the General Teaching Council (Scotland), Nursing and Midwifery Council or the General Medical Council.
- Degree/Diploma in Community Education as recognised by the Standards Council for Community Learning and Development for Scotland Approvals Committee.
