The SSSC is committed to supporting work-life balance for all employees. The Special Leave Policy provides a range of additional leave options to help employees take time away from work as a result of incidents or situations not covered by other types of leave such as the death of a close relative or illness of a dependent, a family or personal emergency or incident, unplanned medical treatment or a planned medical procedure. The Special Leave policy also covers employees who require to be absent from work to carry out a public service, such as jury duty.
