It’s important you make every effort to gain your qualification in the time given but we appreciate there may be times when this isn’t possible.
We investigate cases on an individual basis to consider if we can give you more time to achieve a qualification. We will contact you a few weeks before your qualification condition expires for more information. You don’t need to contact us before this.
If you don’t gain your qualification, we will ask you to provide the following information in your MySSSC account.
- What you did to try to gain your qualification.
- What stopped you from gaining a qualification in the timescale.
- What you did to gain relevant funding.
- What you did to find a training provider to undertake your award.
We will also contact your employer and your training provider/s to provide information so we have an understanding of your circumstances. We may also ask you for any evidence relevant to supporting your case.
We will either:
- give you more time to gain a qualification
- remove you from the Register.
