About the role

Are you ready to take your IT support career to the next level? We're excited to announce an opening for an IT Support Specialist (Level 1) due to team expansion. This is a thrilling time to join us as we roll out new systems and applications.

As an IT Support Specialist, you'll be at the forefront of providing exceptional support to colleagues transitioning from legacy systems to our new, cutting-edge technologies. You'll gain hands-on experience across all aspects of IT and work with the latest tools and methodologies.

This is your chance to shape the future of technical service delivery in a truly customer-centric environment.

Who we are

We are the independent regulator for social service workers in Scotland. Our work means the people of Scotland can count on social work, social care and children and young people services being provided by a trusted, skilled and confident workforce.

We protect the public by registering people working in social work, social care and children and young people services, setting standards for their practice, conduct, training and education and by supporting their professional development. Where people fall below the standards of practice and conduct, we can investigate and take action.

What you need to succeed

To thrive in this role, you should:

  • Hold an HNC level (SCQF Level 7) or equivalent in an IT-related discipline, or have over two years of relevant experience
  • Have experience working in a customer-focused IT service desk environment
  • Be knowledgeable about Office productivity tools like O365, Dynamics 365, and bespoke line-of-business applications
  • Have experience supporting Windows and a good understanding of cloud infrastructure
  • Be capable of acting as an escalation point for technical issues
  • Show a desire to leverage AI tools, such as Copilot, to enhance support efficiency and effectiveness
  • Be enthusiastic about participating in an agile environment, utilising stand-ups and sprints to drive continuous improvement and collaboration.

Why work for us

We are an ambitious, enthusiastic and supportive organisation. With around 300 employees, you can really make an impact here. We offer a generous salary, flexible working arrangements, a full range of benefits, local government pension scheme and up to 43 days holiday (dependent on service).

You can find out more about the benefits of working here on our website.

Our office is in Dundee, and we have an agile working policy that supports office and remote working arrangements, depending on the requirements of each job, which we are happy to discuss with candidates.
